It has been a long time since we played with our Rpi. In the meantime we have got a Rpi2, Rpi3 and even manage to get a Rpi Zero, together with a camera module. We have some plans for these little guys, specially within the frame of the MIA project. But first we have to get started with all toys. So... Let's build the simplest spy camera ever.

Some time ago, I have to do some network bandwidth analysis. I was using iptraf to monitor the real-time bandwidth usage and that was fine. At some point I have a need to record the values to produce a report with nice plots. At that time I couldn't find a simple tool to do that just tools to monitor traffic on server. So I wrote a small script to produce those plots.

Manuals haven't evolved much since its inception. They are basically a book organized in chapters that follows some logic in order to provide some kind of instructions to operate or maintain something. Minor improvements have been introduced over the years: searching functions, multi-media content, even 3D content can be included in nowadays manuals. However, they are still mostly static documents.

The first MIA component is out. It is call CHICAS and it is MIA's voice. An artificial intelligence has to have a voice...hasn't it?. A voice is nice, but what about four voices?. That won't be nice... that will be awesome!. Seriously now. The idea with this project is to explore the use of TTS systems in the areas of HMI (Human Machine Interfaces).
